Antoinne Reid and Asim Henry

Culinary Instructors

Antoine Reid and Asim Henry are the Owners of Bayview Kitchen. Their business is located in Amityville NY. Both chefs graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Johnson & Wales University, bringing a wealth of expertise and passion to their craft.
As first-generation Americans from Jamaican households, food and music were more than traditions they were an inheritance. Sharing not just a passion for cooking but also a familial lineage, Antoine and Asim turned a dream into reality one winter evening in their two-bedroom apartment in Rhode Island, laying the foundation for what would become Culture Clash Cuisines Inc. After completing their Foodservice Management curriculum at Johnson & Wales the duo combined their formal training with their rich Caribbean culinary heritage. In March 2015, they launched Culture Clash Cuisines Inc., a catering company dedicated to redefining global flavors. Their signature approach? Taking traditional dishes, infusing them with flavors from another culture, and creating something entirely new—a true “Clash” of cuisines. Since its inception, Culture Clash Cuisines Inc. has built a reputation for bold, globally inspired dishes that seamlessly blend tradition with innovation. Taking their culinary vision even further, Chefs Antoine and Asim launched Bayview Kitchen, a 50-seat luncheonette that reimagines the classic diner with a modern Caribbean twist. Bayview Kitchen offers breakfast, lunch, and tapas-style dinner, staying true to its Caribbean roots while delivering bold, vibrant flavors with a contemporary edge. Antoinne and Asim have partnered with MasterMine University to develop The Cooking with the Masters Program! This hands-on culinary course is led by Antoinne and Asim. Together they have over 20 years of culinary experience and wisdom. They will teach students essential cooking techniques, kitchen safety, restaurant etiquette and the art of preparing delicious and nutritious meals. Students will gain confidence in the kitchen while exploring different cooking styles, flavors, and cultural influences.
