At MasterMine University Summer Academy, students are engaged for the entire summer through fun, hands-on activities that promote self-mastery and life skills rarely taught in school. Middle School (Grades 6–8)

  • 💹 Financial Literacy & Stock Market Game – Budgeting, saving, and investing through interactive activities and Stock Market Game simulation.
  • 💡Creative Writing – Students develop writing skills by capturing photos and using them to inspire thoughtful writing and analysis.
  • 📖 Stories for Life – Short, powerful stories that teach resilience, choices, history, culture and character.
  • 🔍 Career Exploration – Guided discovery of diverse careers and role models.
  • 🎓 College Readiness (Early Awareness) – Early planning for higher education, college exploration.
  • Chess – Students learn and practice chess while building strategic thinking and life skills.

High School (Grades 9–12)

  • 💹 Financial Literacy & Business – Budgeting, saving, wealth building strategies, and investing through interactive activities and Stock Market Game simulation.
  • 🔍 Computer Literacy – Students learn the fundamentals of computers, AI, and cybersecurity while staying updated with evolving technology.
  • 🩺 Health Literacy – Nutrition, injury management, health insurance, health law, advocacy, hygiene, fitness, and self-care.
  • 🎓 College Readiness (Early Awareness) – College exploration, applications, scholarships, and academic planning.
  • ⚖️Black History
  • ♟ Chess – Students learn and practice chess while building strategic thinking and life skills.
  • 🧠 Psychology 101 – Growth mindset, improving self-esteem, emotional intelligence, self-development.

🏫 Workshops

Core Courses (Combined Middle & High School)

During the summer, we offer 1–2 weekly life-skills workshops including auto mechanics, painting, health & fitness, cooking, and more.

Washington, D.C. College Tour & Cultural Experience

Friday, July 24 – Saturday, July 25

MasterMine University is proud to offer an exciting 2-day educational travel experience that combines college exposure, cultural enrichment, and real-world learning. Students will travel to Washington, D.C. while making stops at select colleges and universities along the route. After an overnight hotel stay, students will visit the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

This trip is designed to inspire students to think bigger about their future while gaining pride, knowledge, and motivation.
